Talking about abuse can be difficult for trans people and accessing services that understand the specific dynamics and experiences of our community are limited.
Loving Me is ran by and for trans people, by experts in the field of domestic abuse, stalking and sexual violence.
We aim to improve individuals safety by providing support and advocacy and by working with specialist services across England to reduce the barriers trans people face when seeking help.
There are many barriers experienced by trans people when accessing domestic abuse and sexual violence support services. The good news is that there are good providers of services across the U.K that are working hard to improve access to and experiences. In addition to providing support and advocacy, Loving Me will establish a service directory of accredited and trans inclusive services.
Loving Me was established in 2022 in response to the lack of specialist provision available, the lack of knowledge about interpersonal violence and being trans and the barriers that exist that discriminate and marginalise.
Our services are confidential and free. Because we are a national service, support is offered over zoom, email, web chat and telephone.
